Guide To....
Choosing a Badminton Racket
When choosing a racket it is
important that you purchase one that suits your style of play
and ability.
What style of player are
you?
Rackets are designed to suit the style
of the player and manufactures build their products to fit
along a scale from Touch players to Power players. It is very
unlikely to get a racket that suits both styles.
To identify if you are a touch or
power player you need to think about how you play the game. If
you are largely a doubles player and find yourself pushing your
partner to the net when rallying as you stay at the back than
you are more than likely a power player. Conversley if you find
yourself playing at the net performing net kills and drop shot
then you are a power player.
Once you've indentified your style
then you can focus your racket browsing on a smaller number of
products.
Other factors to consider when you are
buying a racket is your ability and the how much you are
prepared to pay for a racket.
